Standing up for Righteousness!

Isaiah 59:14-15
Standing up for Righteousness!

“For truth has stumbled in the street, and uprightness cannot enter. Yes truth is lacking: and he who turns aside from evil makes himself a prey.”

“Those who know the truth have faltered in upholding it because to uphold it is to be persecuted.”

These days Truth has few who stand up to defend it. Those who fight for evil have many advocates, but those who uphold Truth, even in a conversation with a coworker, is a rare thing. Who fights for Truth? God is looking for people who are unafraid of the consequences for defending it. Our nation wants to take God out of everything and who among us is willing to be mocked and scorned to defend against this? We, the body of Christ, seem to have lost our voices while those who promote the very abominable acts that God has promised to deal judgment on, get louder and louder. They are unafraid of the consequences of bringing our nation to complete annihilation!
This is our call to put on the Armor of God and stand in the midst of the people to defend righteousness and truth! To all who serve the Lord He says, “Hear O Israel! You are crossing over the Jordan today to go in and dispossess nations greater and mightier than you, great cities fortified to heaven, a people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, whom you have heard it said, “Who can stand before the sons of Anak?” Know therefore today that it is the Lord your God who is crossing over before you as a consuming fire. He will destroy them and He will subdue them before you so that you may drive them out and destroy them quickly, just as the Lord your God has spoken to you. -Deut. 9:1-3
The spiritual darkness of our nation has fortified itself to the heavens and has vowed to destroy all Godliness in the land and God is calling upon us, saying that if we will rise up He will go forth before us and bring down the wickedness. He will go forth as a consuming fire! We are all afraid of the opinions of unrighteous men but our enemy is terrified that we will throw off his yoke and stand for Jesus Christ! Let us humble ourselves before the Lord and remove all unrighteousness from our homes and purify ourselves for a day of battle! The filth of evil men and perverse minds is in our homes – in our books, in our magazines, in our music, in our TV, in our movies, and on our computers. Let us seek the Lord that He might remove every impure thing in our homes. If we remove all that is impure He will fill us with renewed courage and cause us to rise up and perform acts of valor in His name and the fears that have held our mouths closed from speaking boldly will fall off and the enemy will be routed!
Let this be our request, that all impurity might be removed from our homes that we might purify our camp to be ready for the day of battle, that the Lord Himself might fight for us and bring about revival for our country!
May God uphold us and do this great work on our behalf!      God bless!

The return of our King

Isaiah 11:1-5
The return of our King

Then a shoot will spring up from the stem of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit. And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, and He will not judge by what His eyes see, nor make a decision by what His ears hear; but with righteousness He will judge the poor, and decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth; and He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked. Also righteousness will be the belt around His loins, and faithfulness the belt about His waist.
This is our King! Sometimes it feels like a great story that is supposed to come to pass eventually but doesn’t feel like we’ll be in the middle of the fulfillment of it. I long for the day of His return! I long to see His kingdom in complete control of the earth. Our enemy the devil is continually trying to establish himself here but he knows that it truly is impossible, for Jesus has promised to return and rule over us. The devil’s kingdom cannot stand before Him. Therefore the only ones who will be in trouble at the return of our king are the proud of heart who love breaking His laws.
What does it matter if the devil opposes us – his reign is at an end. Jesus not only prevailed against him but has also given us the power to do the same. Jesus is returning and when He left He called us to be care-takers of His property and to work diligently with it until He returns and settles accounts with us.

What are you doing with His property?

Is it growing under your care and bearing fruit? When Jesus returns will you present Him with a handful of weeds or with the fruit of earnest toil in what He has given you to work with? It is not too late to assess what God has given you and to begin making the most of it for His kingdom. All earthly gain will be burned up at His return, but all spiritual work will remain and be accounted for. I guarantee that when Jesus returns none of us will say, “I wish I had worked more so that I had a bigger house or more stuff.” Rather, we will be wishing we had done more for Him with what we had and not wasted so much time and energy on ourselves. God has given each of us something, whether it is time, talents, or money to work with and how faithful we are to use it for Him is up to us. When Jesus returns the work is finished and what we have done will be measured. I’m pretty sure that when we stand before Him that none of us will say, “I wish I had watched a lot more movies!” No, if we want real wages for our labor we must seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things will be added to us. – Matt. 6:33
Our spirit is willing but our flesh is weak. We hear these words and are stirred to action but soon we get distracted and forget the urgency of them. This is where we need to burn some bridges so that our flesh doesn’t choke out the fruit. We need to fast from TV, Movies, books and Magazines that don’t glorify God. We need to put them away so that we can open up room in our minds for the Light of Christ. Jesus says that if what our eye sees is darkness then our whole body will be full of darkness, but if our eye is full of light our body will be full of light also. This world is full of media that pollutes our minds with evil desires and destroys innocence. How can a polluted mind think spiritual thoughts? The things of this world pollute the soul and drive out all purity. The world does not produce what is holy therefore we must put it aside and seek the things of God that we might be made new by the renewing of our mind. Romans 12:2
Let us seek the Lord and separate ourselves unto His service. Let us bear fruit and work diligently with all that He has given us to work with!
May God bless you and fill you with the refreshing joy of His Holy Spirit!
                                                                                                                                - Seth

Come let us serve the Lord!

Daniel 7:13-14
Come let us serve the Lord!

I Kept looking in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven one like a Son of Man was coming, and He came up to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him, and to Him was given dominion, glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and men of every language might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass away; and His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed.
Let us take some time today to behold the beauty of our king, Jesus Christ upon Whom the Ancient of Days has appointed dominion forever. Verse 27 says, “Then the sovereignty, the dominion, and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One; His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him.” A time is coming when our King shall return and reign over all the earth.

Be stirred in your heart today…..

I wish I had the words to stir and provoke us all to action. I wish I had the words to tear down the blanket of sleepiness that permeates every fiber of our being. I wish I had the words of Jesus as He spoke to Lazarus, “Rise and come forth from the tomb!”
Everyday is such a challenge to rise in the morning to fight for the Lord and to set more captives free from the prisons of our enemy. The diluting spirit of our enemy numbs us to such great affect that it is easy to forget that we even have an enemy. But there is great victory to be had for all who will rise up and be a soldier for the Lord. Our King is looking for men and women who will not bow the knee to the gods of this world! There are many lives to be rescued before His return! So under the banner of our Lord and savior come out and serve Him with all your heart!
Rise early in the morning and pray for one another! We are all in this together. The power of our God is real and He will fight on our behalf. As Moses needed Aaron to help uphold his arms during the battle so that things might go favorably for the sons of Israel so also must we support one another’s arms in prayer that great victories might be won against our adversary the devil. God expects us to join together and uphold one another. So let us come out from the camp and array ourselves for battle!

Come join in the fight for REVIVAL and a GREAT AWAKENING in our land!
Where are you? Come out today for the Lord!

A fellow servant of Jesus Christ, - Seth

Belief In The Promises Of God

Luke 1:30-33, 45-55
Belief In The Promises Of God

And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. “And behold, you will conceive in your womb, and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; “And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and His kingdom shall have no end.”
Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, speaks to Mary, “Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord.”. And Mary said, “My soul exalts the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has had regard for the humble state of His bondslave; For behold from this time all shall count me blessed. For the Mighty One has done great things for me; and Holy is His name. And His Mercy Is Upon Generation After Generation Toward Those Who Fear Him. He has done mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their heart. He has brought down rulers from their thrones, And has exalted those who were humble. He has filled the hungry with good things, and sent away the rich empty handed. He has given help to Israel His servant, In remembrance of His mercy, As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and his offspring forever.”

     The promise of God given.
The belief in the promise being fulfilled.
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon Mary whereupon she magnified God and spoke what was and what was to be.

An angel appeared to Mary with a word from God promising that she would bear the The King of Kings, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who was going to be given the kingdom of David to rule for ever. She was going to bear The Son of God who would fulfill all of the promises that God had ever made to His people.
It is an astounding promise that has been made to her, and what I would like to particularly look at today is the fact that she believed what was told to her. For we see that even Zacharias in verse 18, failed to believe the word he also received directly from the same angel. And we can see from reading the verses about him that he was a strong man of God devoted to Serving Him and living righteously. So having an angel deliver the message does not mean that we will believe the word of God.
Believing is the key to the blessings and the heart of God. Talking to a friend of mine this morning, we were discussing the challenge of serving God and at the same time trying to take care of our daily needs and earthly security. If God has called us to serve Him full time how do we get away from these pressing concerns? The answer? We must believe as Mary did. Believing that God’s promises are true and that if we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness all these things will be taken care of. I’m afraid that if most of us and me included, were to have an angel appear and tell us that God will supply all our needs and concerns and not worry about them anymore but to go out and rescue the lost, we would probably end up in an argument with him instead of believing. Trying to explain to him why we couldn’t possibly stop worry about them. We all have our reasons for why we can’t have a simple trust in our Heavenly Father.
Believing is a gift from God and comes from having a deep relationship with Him. If we don’t get to know Him personally we will always doubt His goodness towards us. If we don’t spend time with Him it is easy for us to fall for the lies and false rumors that are spread around. We must ignore what is said about Him and meet with Him ourselves. How do we meet with Him you may ask? I’m glad you asked! The first thing is to find somewhere that is quiet so that you can focus your thoughts. Then kneel down and humble yourself before God and tell Him that you desire to truly know Him. It is important to keep in mind the verse in Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” For all of us have sinned even if we don’t fully understand what sin is or what sins we are guilty of. For God says that if we confess our sins He will be faithful to forgive us, and it is sin that stands between us and a true relationship with God. Then ask Him to come into your heart for He says in Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I (Jesus) stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him and he with Me.” If we are persistent in our desire to meet with Him we will meet Him. But it is important to know that we have an enemy (The devil) who will do everything to distract us from our goal. He will cause us to lose concentration in prayer. He will keep us occupied with work and entertainment. And He will use our sinful desires to plague us night and day. Our own bodies are against us in this battle to meet with God. But if we truly want the reward of being close to God we will get it if we persist for there is nothing that can keep us back from fully receiving this gift.
With a close relationship comes the gift of belief. We will know without a doubt that He is aware of our needs and problems and will see us safely through them. So I encourage you to spend your life in pursuit of this relationship for it grows deeper the closer to God you get. Jesus has opened the door to a wonderful relationship with the Father. Let us press on to enjoy the full benefits of this gift.
May God bless each one of us in our walk with Him. He is the fountain of life and the giver of all good things. Whether we have been with Him for many years or are just meeting Him, in the journey towards eternity, we have only just begun!
